Majorca is a great golf destination, why? Because it has a considerable amount of quality golf courses , great weather and an amazing airport with national and international flights, very similar to Madrid\u2019s and Barcelona\u2019s. Today we write all about the 24 golf courses in Majorca.<\/span><\/p>\n

Golf season it\u2019s from February to May, and after summer from September to early November.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Balear Golf Federation holds 6.784 licences<\/strong>, of which 50 belong to professional teachers and players.<\/span><\/p>\n

There are 24 golf courses in Mallorca<\/strong>, 20 of them have a total of 18 holes, being the Pollensa course the most important and Golf Santa Ponsa III with 9 holes. The oldest, Son Vida Golf, has been operative for over 50 years.<\/span><\/p>\n

10 of these gold courses have hotels<\/strong>, but generally we can find hotels who have deals with nearby golf courses, giving the client reservation privileges, materials and classes, even special (lower) fees. <\/span><\/p>\n

At the Sheraton Mallorca Arabella Golf Hotel, the golfer can find 4 different courses to choose from: Son Vida, Son Muntaner, Son Quint, and Son Quint Pitch and Putt<\/strong>, all of them with 18 holes, and different difficulty levels. Son Vida counts with one of the most privileged views to Palma Bay and has the honor to be the oldest standing golf course in the island and is a legend between European golfers.<\/span><\/p>\n

Santa Ponsa Golf Club<\/strong>, counts with 3 different courses, all inside the same name neighborhood. This allows the turist to rent a villa or an apartment to enjoy the comfort of malls and other services without going far from home.<\/span><\/p>\n

Santa Ponsa Golf Course<\/strong> I was inaugurated in 1977, the second oldest course in Majorca, and has been the home of the European Tournament a total of six times, great figures like Severiano Balles<\/span>tero, Bernard Langer and Jose Maria Olazabal have been on that green. The club has two other courses, the Santa Ponsa II and Santa Ponsa III.<\/span><\/p>\n

Son Antem Golf Club <\/strong>(East and West) are located within the Marriott Vacation Club, a neighborhood with 2-3 bedroom villas, with restaurants and a lot more services.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the Pula Golf<\/strong> course they\u2019ve celebrated 7 European Tours and other important events, having important players at their green such as Olaz\u00e1bal, Sergio Garc\u00eda and \u00c1lvaro Quir\u00f3s<\/span><\/p>\n

Andratx Golf<\/strong> Course is very famous between golfers as one the most defiant golf courses in Majorca and the Mediterranean. Their 6th hole is the largest of Spain.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the Bendinat Real Golf<\/strong> have played important people such as 2008 Nobel Peace Prize Martti Ahtisaari and ex secretary of the U.N, Harri Holkari, european royalty members such as Prince Andres, or Princess Brigette of Switzerland\u2026or even famous actors such as Michael Douglas or ex F1 pilot Nigel Mansell.<\/span><\/p>\n
